How Story Illuminates Your Core Message With Sally Z

Our experiences as milspouses are connected to huge ideas—global, political, and sociological—all the way down to a personal level, and in conversation one on one with each other. To put it plainly: we navigate a lot. We can use stories to demonstrate our cornerstone military life experiences, and to persuade our audiences to take action alongside us as leaders.

In this episode, you will earn how and why partnering with your audience’s imagination is different with writing, and then with speaking. The act of writing your story down can be cathartic…But then when those words get to live in your body, and you deliver them out loud…It’s a whole different art form.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the antidote to imposter syndrome is empowered action.

It’s saying “yes” to visibility over and over again. We have to accept the discomfort that comes with growth.

We typically we use these 4 reasons for why we’re not ready to step out front yet:

1.) Perfection (keeps us frozen and disconnected)

2.) Fear (talks us out of it)

3.) Imposter Syndrome (convincing lies on repeat)

4.) Ego & Judgement (for taking up space)
